TUI Gift Card Terms and Conditions:

In these Terms and Conditions:

Gift Card means a physical plastic card, generally received through the post.

eGift card means a digital gift card received electronically via email or downloaded from an online account.

Where the term Gift Card or TUI Gift Card is used in these terms and conditions, it refers to both a Gift Card and an eGift card, unless stated otherwise.

“We”, “us” and “our” means TUI UK Ltd, trading as TUI.

“You” and “Your” means the person who purchases or receives a Gift Card or eGift card.

1. Lost or stolen Gift Card:

Please protect your Gift Card and treat it as cash, the balance cannot be refunded if your Gift Card is lost or stolen.

2. Where to purchase TUI Gift Cards:

TUI Gift Cards can be purchased at any TUI Holiday Store, or online at tui.co.uk/giftcard. Online sales of Gift Cards are managed on behalf of TUI by SVM Global Limited. All TUI Gift Cards are issued by TUI UK Limited.

3. Loading funds onto a Gift Card:

The minimum value that can be loaded onto a Gift Card is £10 and the maximum amount is £5,000. The minimum value that can be loaded onto an eGift card is £10 and the maximum amount is £3,000. Gift Cards can be redeemed multiple times up to the value available on the Gift Card at the time of using it to make a payment. Gift Cards are also reloadable and the minimum reload value is £10 and the maximum £5000.

4. Checking the balance on a Gift Card:

If you do not spend the entire balance on your Gift Card, the remaining balance will be updated after each transaction. The balance remaining on your Gift Card can be checked in store, online at tui.co.uk/giftcard, or by calling 0203 130 0133. (Calls from UK landlines cost the standard rate, but calls from mobiles may be higher. Check with your network provider.)

5. Using your Gift Card in a TUI Holiday Store:

Gift Cards can be used at a TUI Holiday Store in the UK to pay in full or in part for travel products and services, including travel insurance. Your Gift Card cannot be used to purchase Travel money, Money Transfer, to purchase another Gift Card or on any Travel Money related products.

6. Using your Gift Card online:

TUI Gift Cards can be used online at tui.co.uk or firstchoice.co.uk at the time of making a new booking and to make payments due on existing bookings made online.

Important note about online use: Please note for online transactions the balance on the Gift Card must cover the full amount due. If subsequent payments are due on your booking more than one gift card can be used to pay this balance. You will have to process these as separate payments.

8. Excluded Purchases:

It is not possible to use your Gift Card to purchase Travel Money, carry out money transfers to purchase any other travel money or financial services product (other than travel insurance), or to purchase another gift card. TUI Gift Cards cannot be exchanged for cash.

9. Expiry date:

Each Gift Card has an expiry date stated on it. Please note that the balance must be used before the expiry date shown or it will be deducted.

10. Refunds:

If you have used a Gift Card to pay in full or in part for a travel product, and are due a refund of all or part of the cost of that product (e.g. as a result of cancelling or amending your booking), the refund due will be re-credited to your Gift Card in the first instance, unless the refund amount exceeds the amount that was originally taken from your Gift Card, in which case the remainder will be refunded either to your credit or debit card or in cash, depending on which payment method you used originally. Please note: Gift Cards are not covered by any scheme of financial protection, including that offered by ABTA.

11. Refusal or cancellation of Gift Cards:

TUI reserves the right to refuse to accept any Gift Card which has been damaged so as to make it unusable/unreadable, or which we consider has been tampered with in any way or which, in our opinion, is being used to commit any type of fraud. TUI reserves the right to cancel any Gift Card if, in our opinion, such action is necessary to prevent any fraud or other potential misuse. This does not affect your legal rights.

12. Limitations on transfer and re-sale:

TUI Gift Cards cannot be re-sold, or exchanged for cash. They become void if re-sold or transferred for value. Monies on unused Gift Cards cannot be transferred.

14. Governing Law

The purchase and use of a TUI Gift Card is subject to the above terms and conditions, which we may amend at any time without prior notice. These terms and conditions are governed by English Law and any dispute will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Courts of England and Wales.

Visitors may read, view, print and download one hard copy of material on this site for their personal, non-commercial use only.

Visitors may not copy, distribute, sell, publish, display, transmit, reproduce or decompile any part of the material by any means (electronic or not) or for any purpose include it in any derivative works.

Trademarks and intellectual property

Trademarks, service marks and logos displayed on this site belong to SVM or to TUI companies.

Nothing contained on this site should be construed as granting any licence to use any trademark, service mark or logo displayed on this site without the express written permission of SVM and/or the relevant TUI company as appropriate.

Protecting your security

To ensure that your credit, debit or charge card is not being used without your consent, SVM will validate name, address and other personal information supplied by you during the order process against appropriate third party databases. By accepting these terms and conditions you consent to such checks being made. In performing these checks personal information provided by you may be disclosed to a registered Credit Reference Agency which may keep a record of that information. You can rest assured that this is done only to confirm your identity, that a credit check is not performed and that your credit rating will be unaffected. All information provided by you will be treated securely and strictly in accordance with all applicable Data Protection laws and regulations.

In addition to in house verification procedures SVM employs Verified by Visa / MasterCard Securecode which allows customers to protect their credit cards used online by assigning a secret password. If you have joined the scheme you will be required to provide your password during completion of your order. SVM has no knowledge of, or access to, your password. To maintain secrecy your password is submitted directly to your card issuer, over a secure link, and does not get seen or stored by our system. As a member of one of the above schemes, should you not pass the verification process, your payment and order will not be accepted by SVM.

Your privacy is very important to us, and we promise never to release your personal details to any outside company for mailing or marketing purposes.

Gift Cards

Gift Cards supplied by SVM Global Ltd cannot be exchanged for cash.

SVM and TUI reserve the right to change the range of Gift Cards we offer at any time, without prior notification. SVM takes no responsibility for any changes to the Terms and Conditions relating to each individual Gift Card.

Users should refer to the back of the specific Gift Card for specific terms and conditions and expiry dates.

The funds on a gift card or eGift card are not covered by the Financial Services Compensation Scheme. In the unlikely event of the issuer of a gift card or eGift card becoming insolvent some funds on a gift card or eGift card may not be available to spend.

Risk and Title

Risk and title will pass to the customer upon delivery. SVM and TUI take no liability for any lost, stolen or damaged Gift Cards once responsibility of ownership has passed to the customer at time of delivery. SVM are not directly linked to TUI whose products are listed on this website. In the event that any one such product or company is placed in either administration or receivership there is no obligation on SVM or TUI to replace or exchange any previously issued, unspent Gift Cards.

Payments and Charges

Cleared payment is required prior to the despatch of orders. Payment is taken automatically at the time of purchase. Your credit/debit card statement will read "SVM Global Ltd". No charges are applicable to debit card or personal credit card payments. A charge of 2.3% is applied to the value of the transaction when paying by corporate credit card. We do not accept payment via American Express cards. SVM and TUI reserve the right to decline any order without providing explanation.

Prices shall be as set out on the website and within the acknowledgement issued by SVM which are exclusive of any value added, purchase or other taxes. Prices do not include postage costs and you must choose one of the delivery options when you order. Such taxes and costs shall be payable in addition to the price when the price is due. All payments must be made in British Pounds Sterling (GBP).


All orders received before 11am on any working day will be dispatched either the same or the next working day. You will be required to activate your gift card on receipt of your order. You will receive an email with a link to our secure activation portal and the letter sent with your order will contain the secure code you need to complete activation. Once activated on the portal, your gift card will be loaded within 1 business day, usually instantly. eGift card orders are not required to be activated.

SVM will notify you by email to confirm receipt of your order. At this point the contract for the sale and your purchase of the goods shall be made on the terms set out herein and the contract shall be formed at the place from which our acceptance email is sent to you. You may print this page from the website to be kept for your own records.

These conditions of supply of goods or services govern all orders to and contracts with SVM and override any other terms or conditions stipulated, incorporated or referred to by the person, firm or company that has requested Gift Cards.

Gift Cards shall be as described in the acknowledgement of the order issued by SVM.

Refund / Returns Policy

In accordance with the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations, your right to request a refund starts from the moment you place your order until 14 days after you receive your goods. Refunds can only be made on gift cards that have the full purchase value remaining. To return a gift card, please phone the customer call centre on 01709 718062, complete the “Contact Us” form at tui.svmglobal.com/Contact or write to SVM at TUI Gift Cards, Action Court, Coleman Street, Parkgate, Rotherham, S62 6EL. Credit card charges (applicable to corporate credit cards only) will not be refunded. Refunds will be made to the credit or debit card used for purchase.


This site is controlled and operated by SVM from its offices in the UK. SVM makes no representation that material in the site is appropriate or available for use in other locations. Those who choose to access this site from other locations do so on their own initiative and are responsible for compliance with local laws, if and to the extent that local laws are applicable.

If for any reason any provision of these Conditions of Use are determined to be void or unenforceable, then to the extent and in the places only where such provision is determined to be void or unenforceable it shall be severed and the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.

These terms and conditions and anything in this site shall be governed by English Law and all matters in connection with them shall be determined by the English Courts.
